My problem with reading
For the past years, I have made reading a daily habit. Though I’m a slow reader, barely finishing two books in a month, it has been a fun hobby.
But there's a problem: I have no one to talk to about it.
I'm the only reader in my circle. Everytime I finish a book, whether it's great or not, I find myself having so many thoughts -- questions, opinions.
I want to talk about the twists, characters or the author's writing style. Instead I resort to the internet trying to satisfy myself reading reviews and discussions.
While online exhange of ideas does the trick, real-time face-to-face conversations about books might be better.
I haven't joined book clubs but is that what they are for?
Reading buddies perhaps? There's my little dilemma.
